WE ARE HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE THE COLLABORATION
BETWEEN TONGLEN ODV AND THE PEOPLE'S UNIVERSITY IN CORDE SCIENTIA (UPICS)
In June 2020, our President Daniela Muggia, together with a group of colleagues, founded the Università Popolare In Corde Scientia (www.incordescientia.eu), which means "Knowledge is in the heart", to spread and teach methods to "offer qualified professional training to those who care about the well-being of people and animals, taking care of their suffering - including that of the end of life and mourning - with techniques and methods focused on the development of empathy".
In 2004, Daniela Muggia developed the ECEL method, Empathic Care of the End of Life, which she has since spread throughout the world and now also through UPICS.
The ECEL Method, the result of 30 years of study and 25 years of experience working alongside terminally ill patients, is based on two pillars: one purely Western (quantum physics, neurocardiology and neuroscience) and the other typically Eastern (the meditative practices called "Compassion", of Tibetan tradition).
It was natural for the two associations to find a way to collaborate and help each other.
We would therefore like to point out these 4 splendid seminars, useful to everyone but in particular to volunteers and professionals who work in the field of assistance and accompaniment.
COLLABORATIONS, SEMINARS AND EVENINGS
Ange FEY, born in Paris, has lived in Italy for many years. His personal journey confronts him with death and dying as a life experience, free from ideologies or taboos. He therefore begins his personal reflection on the existential meaning of the human being early on, quickly seeking tools for growth and personal development.
With the aim of taking care of death, just as we take care of birth, in 1997 he founded IL BRUCO E LA FARFALLA®️, an apolitical and non-denominational non-profit organization for the accompaniment of people at the end of their lives.
The experience accumulated over the years and obtained from the practice of training in the health, educational, social and therapeutic fields and from research applied to individuals and groups, with particular reference to the education of individuals to respect life until death, have led him to develop original approaches to death, dying and accompaniment.
Today he accompanies those who die and supports their family before, during and after the event; he holds conferences, seminars and training courses in Italy and abroad.

Facilitator and trainer in Empathic/Nonviolent Communication (NVC). I study, practice and passionately spread the Empathic Communication – Nonviolent Communication® by Marshall Rosenberg. I have trained with national and international trainers also belonging to the CNVC (Center for Nonviolent Communication). I have attended, among others, a course on conflict mediation. I wanted to follow the advice of Confucius and choose a job that I love, so as not to have to work even a day of my life!
I feel inspired to spread the healing and transformative power of Nonviolent Communication, which I have been able to experience on myself. I believe in co-creating a world where everyone has the power to show up as their fullest selves, where everyone's values and voices find a space to be heard. Since 2017 I have been offering individual sessions using NVC methods.
